Peran Sub Sektor Industri Pengolahan Dalam Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of manufacturing sector to the economy and analyze the role of manufacturing sector to the employment in Gorontalo Province. To answer the problems that have been determined, the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis method is used. The calculation results show that the Gorontalo Province manufacturing industry sector is smaller than 1 or LQ < 1. This means that in terms of income, the Gorontalo Province manufacturing industry sector is a non-base sector that is lower than its comparison or level of specialization with the national manufacturing industry sector and the results of labor absorption calculations show that the Location Quotient (LQ) value of Gorontalo Province manufacturing industry sector labor is below 1 or LQ < 1. This shows that in terms of labor absorption, the Gorontalo Province manufacturing sector is a non-base sector with a lower ratio to the same sector in the national region.References
