PENERAPAN PAKAN IKAN BERIMUNOSTIMULAN BAWANG PUTIH BAGI KELOMPOK PEMBUDIDAYA IKAN DI DESA MOLOMPAR DUA UTARA

Pelompok pembudidaya ikan Mina Soputan merupakan pokdakan yang aktif serta produktif secara ekonomi. Pokdakan ini menjalankan usaha pemeliharaan ikan di kolam maupun di sawah dengan sistim sederhana sampai sistim semi intensif.  Masalah utama  yang  sering  dihadapi  pokdakan  mitra adalah produksi ikan rendah disebabkan oleh sering terjadinya serangan penyakit dan pertumbuhan ikan yang lambat sebagai akibat dari praktek pemberian pakan yang kurang baik. Untuk membantu memecahkan permaslahan tersebut maka dilakukan kegiatan PKM dengan tujuan  untuk menerapkan penggunaan pakan ikan berimunostimulan ekstrak bawang putih dalam pemeliharaan ikan. Metode yang diterapkan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan diikuti dengan praktek pemeliharaan ikan. Satu minggu setelah benih ditebar, ikan diberi pakan yang sudah ditambahkan ekstrak bawang putih dengan dosis 15 g/kg pelet. Dosis pemberian pakan adalah 5%/berat badan/hari dengan frekuensi pemberian 2 kali/hari. Hasil praktek mendapatkan berat akhir ikan yang diberi pelet dengan penambahan ekstrak bawang putih mencapai 51,93% lebih besar dari ikan yang tidak diberi bawang putih. Laju pertumbuhan harian ikan yang diberi bawang putih sebesar 4,45% sedangkan ikan yang tidak diberi bawang putih 2,95%. Selama masa pemeliharaan tidak terjadi kematian ikan akibat serangan penyakit. Jadi aplikasi ekstrak bawang putih dalam pakan ikan dapat meningkatkan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan sehingga produksi meningkat. Selain itu, kegiatan PKM dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat pembudidaya ikan sehingga masyarakat menjadi mampu mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam menjalankan usaha budidaya ikan yang pada akhirnya dapat merangsang pembembentukan kelompok-kelompok pembudidaya ikan yang mandiri secara ekonomi.
